Farewell To Fifth Grade
Great America Here we Come!!!

Congratulations room 212 for all your reading efforts!! The entire class won free admittance into Six Flags Great America during a spring read-a-thon. Mrs. Rogers has secured a bus for our transportation. The bus will arrive at Till on Friday, June 18th at 1:00 p.m. We will leave promptly at the close of the school day, after the students receive their report cards. We will leave Great America at 9:00 p.m. This trip is not a Chicago Board of Education approved trip. Because it is not approved by the board parents must escort their children. No child is allowed to attend without adult supervision. Unfortunately the adult supervisor must pay for admittance into the theme park. You can secure a ticket over the Internet for your greatest discount. Letters with additional information will go home with the students. We are looking forward to a great day!
Adventure Stage Field Trip
On Friday April 30th 212 visited Adventure Stage to see the live production of “The Ghost of Treasure Island”. The trip was fantastic. It has started us to think. What is the difference between bravery and foolishness? Can the two ever be the same? Leave your comments below.
Creating Topics for Writing
This year you will be required to make a list of topics that you will enjoy writing about. No hassles, relax and write. Always remember, great readers make great writers. We will use the computer lab to research some articles and make comments to post. hopefully you will become very familiar with this website.
Welcome To Parents and Students
Welcome to the fifth grade website. We look forward to a year of active learning and interaction among peers. This year the Board has introduce a new promotion policy for writers, which I’m sure we will meet.
The Chicago Public Schools will offer you vital information regarding the new writing curriculum.
